Short overview of ancient Greece focusing on food, cooking, trade, and eating. A few simple recipes (inspired from ancient Greek recipes) are included. Appropriate for school aged children.

Our oldest loves to borrow cookbooks from her elementary school library. She's also been studying Ancient Greece, so this was a terrific book for her. It offers information about life in Ancient Greece along with recipes that complement the various topics. Overall, it's a fast, interesting read and provides a way for children to learn more about Grecian history and culture.
