Enid Blyton books have a special kind of magic. Some times I get fed up of having to adult and I need a little fix of magic, adventure and a trip to a world that used to be. This book was perfect for that.

Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.–Maya AngelouHurrah for the Circus was that book which awakened my love of reading as a child and made me a bibliophile. :)

Hadapi d [...]

This book I found disturbing and unsettling as a child as it starts with a boy whose father ends up joining a circus for a living, giving up a settled life. Why I found this displacement and the adjustments to life in the circus by the little boy and his family unsettling as a child I didn't not know as a child. Now, I know it was a premonition. Less painful then the previous one.

The circus stories weren't my favourite Enid Blyton books as a kid, but I still enjoyed them.
