      Thank God there's only one more left. I don't think I could handle it if the Beatles had had five members. Clayson's snarky, poorly researched writing grates on the nerves. His use of the same phrasing in each of the books though he considered that no one would read all four (which, with the poor writing, theoretically is a possibility) just shows him as a lazy hack.But where he really gets called into question is through his sloppy facts.       A worthwhile read if you have not read much about George's life before. I didn't warm to Clayson's style in that he comes across as quite judgemental and acerbic at times, however others may find this direct approach to be refreshing. The appendices felt a little out-of-place and there isn't anything about his death (contrary to the back cover). Other than that, it's pretty good.

      This is the best of the quartet by Alan Clayson, and the longest. I may be wrong, but I think George was his favorite Beatle. Mine too-- tied with Ringo. And Olivia Harrison is simply wonderful. When she fought that guy who was trying to kill her husband, I cried!
