Sitnalta is an enjoyable read from start to finish. The story is well paced and the characters are memorable. The story works well as a kind of bridge between all those stories we grew up reading in elementary school where trolls, ogres, kings, queens, princes and princesses were as real and the magic of learning to read. Although this story is not solely intense for children it is a simple story of love, honor and courage that anyone of any age will enjoy. For anyone not in on the little secret, [...]

Overall Rating: 4/5Story: 4/5Characters: 4/5World-Building: 4/5Editing/Presentation: 3/5Story: The story was good, and the quick pacing made it an easy and intriguing read. I wouldn’t say it’s the most original story, as it’s about a princess basically not wanting to be a princess and instead run free. However, the ideas are executed in a way that’s creative, and it seems like some magic is really at work here.Characters: The characters were well developed, and I loved the relationships [...]

Sitnalta by Alisse Lee Goldenburg3 StarsSitnalta lived her whole life with a father who hated her, or at the very least was indifferent to her. But he left her alone to run around the castle as she pleased being cared for by Aud, so Sitnalta didn’t care too much about his treatment of her anyway. That was until he decided it was time for the 15-year-old to be married off to an aging king in a neighbouring kingdom as a political move. Sitnalta did not want this, she wanted to marry for love not [...]

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This was an enjoyable and quick read with an interesting and original story line that kept my attention all the way through. I really enjoyed this story. It wasn't like anything I have ever read before and I love discovering such originals plots. This was about a young girl called Sitnalta who runs away because her father is forcing her to marry a king much older than her. When she flees the castle she comes across a kind hear [...]

Feel good fantasyA sweet fairy tale for all. I enjoyed every adventurous journey and cry for freedom from Princess Sitnalta. The story flowed like the river Nadroj. (If you read the book you will understand Nadroj). Sitnalta's story was sweet and nerve wrecking. Her relationship with her governess Aud made me smile over and over again, but then her tyrant of a father King Supmylo. Many times I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting to find out the next thing. A tyrant of a father, a governe [...]

I liked this story for the younger set. Its pacing is fast and consistent with all standard fairy tales you could ever read. Sitnalta is an engaging character and the neat trick of reversing Atlantis for her name made it just that much better. That is a recurring theme in the book as well, the naming convention. The target audience will learn to love hating Supmylo, Sitnalta’s father for good reason, he’s just a horrible, power crazed lunatic…the perfect villain. King Gerald was a pleasant [...]

What a nice refreshing story Sitnalta was to read! I wish my children where young again because this would have been the perfect book for me to snuggle up in bed and read to them. Alisse has written a creative and entertaining fairy tale with a surprise twist at the end. Suitable for all age groups to read it was a giveaway, thank you!

A classic fairy tale with plenty of fantasy elements to keep the reader interested. Sitnalta is smartly written and accessible to all ages. The characters are both strong and sweet and the story line is, again, classic fairy tale (which I love!). A quick, fun read that lets you escape to another world for a while. I definitely recommend!
