      This was a difficult book to rate because the eleven short stories collected here ranged from terrifying to mildly scary and from fascinating to boring.The first, Sliver, is one of the scariest of the set.       I generally don't love reading short story collection, just because it's not my thing. This one, however, was soooo worth it! I loved that some of the stories were interconnected, others stood alone, and all provided a sense of fear and horror in completely original and new contexts. Holden's writing never disappoints, and this is a top gay horror read.
